Thomé Studio is a Brooklyn-based design studio specializing in knitwear. Originally launched in Paris as a slow fashion brand, it has since grown into a creative partner for brands and designers looking to bring intentional, innovative knitwear to life.

Working across the full spectrum of design and development, I collaborate with clients to create custom solutions—from early research and concepting to fully fashioned tech packs and sourcing strategies. Whether the goal is building a cohesive knitwear collection, developing knit fabric from scratch, or refining silhouettes through fittings, my approach is hands-on, technically grounded, and creatively sharp.

The studio’s work spans consulting, prototyping, and collection development for independent designers, emerging brands, and established labels alike.

Hi, I’m Amanda Thomé,

a knitwear designer based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and a first-generation American raised between south Florida and Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

My design process is shaped by the cultures I’ve experienced, blending emotion, youthfulness, and candid experimentation.

After studying fashion design at FIT and specializing in knitwear at NTU in the UK, I freelanced for brands in Paris before launching my own.

Now back in NYC, I guide brands all over the globe in creating knitwear collections and am currently taking new clients. Let’s discuss your brand needs!
